Four RBI Day for Jaysen Dower Spells Out Victory For Northview Titans Varsity Over Trinity Christian
Northview Titans Varsity defeated Trinity Christian 12-8 on Friday thanks in part to Jaysen Dower, who drove in four runners. Dower drove in runs on a double in the second and a single in the fifth.
An early lead helped propel Northview Titans Varsity to victory. Northview Titans Varsity scored on a walk by David Shriner in the first inning, a double by Dower in the second inning, a walk by Jackson Baylor in the second inning, and a walk by David Braynard in the second inning.
Northview Titans Varsity took the lead for good with five runs in the second inning. In the second Dower doubled on a 1-0 count, scoring two runs, Shriner was struck by a pitch, driving in a run, Baylor drew a walk, scoring one run, and Braynard drew a walk, scoring one run.
Trinity Christian scored three runs in the fifth inning. Maury Weaver and Shep Hancock powered the big inning with RBIs.
Ryan Blake led the Northview Titans Varsity to victory on the pitcher’s mound. He allowed five hits and five runs over two innings, striking out three. A number of pitchers entered the game as relief, with Parker Poteet, Brady Wilson, Freddie Nam, and Beau Lark all securing outs and ultimately the victory.
Northview Titans Varsity racked up nine hits. Lark, Blake, and Dower all managed multiple hits for Northview Titans Varsity. Dower, Blake, and Lark all had two hits to lead Northview Titans Varsity.
