Northview Titans Varsity Overcomes Johns Creek In Face Of Early 4-Run Inning

Even though Northview Titans Varsity gave up four runs in the fourth inning, they still defeated Johns Creek 11-6 on Thursday. The big inning for Johns Creek came thanks to walks by Decker, Forney, and Ferguson and a single by White.

Northview Titans Varsity collected 12 hits and Johns Creek had five in the high-scoring affair.

Northview Titans Varsity got things moving in the first inning. Colton McDaniel doubled on a 0-1 count, scoring two runs.

Northview Titans Varsity notched nine runs in the third inning. Michael Trautwein, McDaniel, Beau Lark, Parker Poteet, Anish Yennam, and Trautwein each had RBIs in the frame.

Mark McLaughlin earned the victory on the pitcher’s mound for Northview Titans Varsity. He lasted three and two-thirds innings, allowing two hits and four runs while striking out three. Sam Clayman threw three and a third innings in relief out of the bullpen.

McIlwaine took the loss for Johns Creek. He surrendered 11 runs on ten hits over two and a third innings, striking out one and walking zero.

Northview Titans Varsity tallied 12 hits on the day. Trautwein, Yennam, and McDaniel each had multiple hits for Northview Titans Varsity. Trautwein went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Northview Titans Varsity in hits. Northview Titans Varsity was sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Trautwein had the most chances in the field with eight.
