Boys Track and Field, Girls Track and Field · Track and Field brings home multiple region champions

At Buck Godfrey stadium the Titans Track and Field team did really well in both the field and running events. The girls especially shined in the long jump with Sarah Otaluka, Kelsea Moody and Sariah Williams first through third. Williams set an elite mark with a jump of 16 feet 8 inches to become region champion. In the triple jump Amara Register won with a jump of over 34 feet to become the champion and top qualifier into sectionals. In the shot put, Blossom Nmachi won with a throw of over 33 feet to become the schools first ever female winner in a throwing event. The boys did very well representing the Titans as well. Ryan Coco became the first Pole Vaulter from the school to win the Region title and goes into sectionals as one of the top vaulters as well. In the other field events, sprints and distance many of the boys and girls went on to set personal marks as well, both teams did and excellent job representing the school with their performance.

Competition continues today, with finals in the running events. 8 Titans will represent Northview tonight in the finals and we wish them the best of luck!
