McDaniel Throws Shutout As Northview Titans Varsity Defeats Centennial
Colton McDaniel didn’t allow a single run as Northview Titans Varsity defeated Centennial 10-0 on Monday. McDaniel allowed just four hits and struck out David Van Dyke to end the game.
Northview Titans Varsity grabbed an early lead. Northview Titans Varsity scored on a home run by Michael Trautwein and a single by Michael Wilson in the first inning.
Northview Titans Varsity took an early lead in the first inning. Trautwein homered on a 0-1 count in the first inning, scoring two runs.
Northview Titans Varsity scored four runs in the sixth inning. The big inning was thanks to a double by Colton McDaniel.
One bright spot for Centennial was a double by Ryan Willoughby in the second inning.
McDaniel earned the win for Northview Titans Varsity. He threw seven innings, allowing zero runs, four hits, and striking out ten. Zach Lahey took the loss for Centennial. He tossed three and a third innings, surrendering four runs, five hits, and striking out four.
Northview Titans Varsity had nine hits in the game. McDaniel and Wilson each collected multiple hits for Northview Titans Varsity. Wilson and McDaniel each collected two hits to lead Northview Titans Varsity.
Kyle Bernitt led Centennial with two hits in three at bats. Centennial didn’t commit a single error in the field. Paul Haberstock had the most chances in the field with eight.
